High Speed D/A-converters

Enhanced driving schemes

One possibility to enhance the inherent robustness against errors, is the use of enhanced driving schemes. In this context, redundant schemes (such as the RSD-scheme) were investigated. A prototype chip was design for VDSL specifications (13 bit, 40 MHz), see picture

Current steering D/A-converters.

The fastest circuits for D/A-conversion are current driven. However, there are several static as well as dyanmic parasitic effects. In order to suppress these non-idealities, adaptive correction schemes have been developed. These adaptive correction methods can be easily combined with our enhanced driving schemes.
